Mentoring could encompass:

  • Helping entrepreneurs sharpen their value proposition and messaging: everything hangs from this - what you say on your website, what goes into brochures and presentations, mail shots and what salespeople say when in front of prospects, how you approach investors,
  • Helping entrepreneurs get their sales forecasts more accurate: as sales cycles become more protracted the scope for getting sales forecasts wrong increases - with potentially serious consequences for cash planning, coaching salespeople and management on sales skills, account strategy and winning tactics on actual individual deals
  • Coaching sales managers to do their job more effectively; negotiations skills training - coaching on specific deals; implementing a sales process so that everyone who is selling handles each interaction with prospects in an optimal way; helping with lead generation strategies and prospect incubation - getting in front of the right people; assisting in sales recruitment process - hiring the right people in the right jobs is crucial to success; assessing the capabilities of your existing to undertake selling roles and recommending on development and training required.
