There is no formal selection process that determines eligibility for mentoring: however our expectation is that entrepreneurs should have a strong focus on growth. Lifestyle businesses, where the aim is simply to provide an income for one or two people, fall outside our range of interest for mentoring.

In addition, entrepreneurs:

  • Should be IT focussed

  • Should be open-minded and appreciative of the purpose and value of mentoring

  • Should not be looking for free consultancy or professional advice

Additionally, those entrepreneurs who are not members of the Company:

  • Should keep in mind that we would like to see them apply for membership of the Company in due course

  • Should understand our wish that they will in due course give something back in return for the help they receive: maybe their own time as a member and a mentor; maybe a gift of shares to support our charitable work if the mentoring adds significant value to their enterprise.
